1.5 Cancellation and Refunds made by Seals Swim School Limited

If a lesson is cancelled because of:

  • Lack of Teacher/Staff sickness

  • Closure of Pool

Seals swim school Limited will give full refunds per class missed. Or issue a credit note for the number of classes missed for the following term.

2. Changing rooms

Please see an excerpt from our changing policy – the full policy will be emailed on booking, or can be made available if requested.

  • If a mum brings “children of whichever sex, they use the female changing room” if a Dad brings “children of whichever sex”, they use the male changing room.

  • At The Hayes the disabled changing room can be made available for mixed-sex groups. Seals Swim School Limited require that you give your child/children a rough dry-off before exiting the pool side, so they don’t drip water over the floor outside as this is a serious slip hazard. Seals ask that you use a towel (Seals Swim School Limited will provide) to wipe away any access water on the floor outside the changing rooms, so no one slips exiting and entering the poolside.

  • At Thomas More please use the private shower area.

  • Children under 8 years of age MUST BE SUPERVISED whilst changing. Only one adult should be supervising up to 3 children, to minimise the amount of people required in the changing room.

At The Hayes do not change wet children in the entrance area where shoes and coats are left, this creates a serious slip hazard. If the customer repeatedly takes wet children to this area their lessons will be cancelled and they will not be refunded.

5. Inclusion (SEN)

Please see an excerpt from our Inclusion and SEN policy – the full policy can be made available if requested.

Seals Swim School Limited believe everyone should have the opportunity to reach their full potential in swimming. To achieve this, all learners need access to the best possible teaching and facilities, to meet their own individual needs. Swimming should be accessible for every single person, regardless of ability or any of the nine protected characteristics as outlined in the Equality Act (2010).

Seals Swim School Limited will make every endeavour to accommodate children with SEND requirements into group lessons, at the time of writing, we do not offer 1-2-1 lessons, or specialist SEND lessons. We will make reasonable adaptations for the learner to partake in our group lessons. If it becomes apparent during the term that we are not the best swim school to meet the child’s needs. Through the child not being happy, learning to the best of their abilities or we feel we cannot keep the child or the group safe, a refund will be made and alternative classes will be recommended.
